From Engineer to Racing Driver
A first race, 'rabbit in the headlights' perspective
If you follow us closely here on LinkedIn or any of our other active social channels, you will likely recall the flurry of pictures and videos from our C1 24 Hour endurance race at Silverstone back in April.
It was quite the adventure! The collective that formed our CATDTC1 driving team included our very own Chief Instructor Colin, as well as experienced racers, CAT clients and friends David, Phil and rookie racer Nic.
Nic's background in Automotive Engineering and Evaluation Driving means he has a strong dynamic knowledge foundation. Applying this to the context of a race, one that also happened to be a 24-hour endurance challenge, with no previous racing experience was for sure, going to be a challenge!
Sharing his thoughts, feelings and the experience itself, Nic has kindly written a set of blog posts documenting the trials, tribulations and highs.

I would love to know if Nic's experience has inspired you to give competitive motorsport a try or to hone your racecraft.
