From Email Marketing to Landing Pages

Even though our society has grown astronomically in terms of technology and communication, one of the most traditional forms of communication, email is still used every day by many.

Email marketing refers to a marketing strategy that uses email as a form of communication with consumers about a brand's products, events, and deals. You should consider incorporating emails into your firm's marketing strategy because there are a ton of benefits that result. Email marketing is important in digital marketing because more than half of consumers are reported to prefer email as their communication method with brands.

Benefits of Email Marketing

  • Emails can be sent to consumers worldwide regardless of their location distance
  • Emails are cost-effective as they are free to send
  • Emails can be sent at any hour of the day
  • Emails can collaborate with other social media platforms
  • Emails are personalized to targeted groups of people with similar interests and preferences
  • Emails lead to an increased number of sales and conversions

Process of Email Marketing

  1. Develop an email marketing plan: objectives, signup sources, and timeline
  2. Identify your targeted audience
  3. Begin to draft your content and design
  4. Test your campaigns with A/B testing
  5. Send out finalized emails to targeted groups
  6. Measure your performance
  7. Continue to redesign, edit, and send out emails for optimization


Marketing Automation

Sending individual emails to a large number of people may sound time-consuming but it does not have to be with marketing automation which is software that automatically does some marketing for you. With marketing automation, your organization can pre-create email advertisements and set certain conditions and times in which this email would automatically be sent to a predetermined audience. This differs from regular email marketing because you are saving time by not having to manually design and send each and every email yourself.

Simple scenarios in which marketing automation can be useful include:

  • Welcoming newly incoming consumers to your email list
  • Following up with consumers after making a purchase
  • Reminders of unfinished purchases

However, while using marketing automation, do not forget about your customers. Remember to continue communication and engagement with them further than just automated responses.


Landing Pages

Besides what a consumer sees when they first open your email, to proceed closer to conversions, you must have a good landing page. This is because after a consumer reads your email, the next step is to guide the consumer over to your firm's website, more specifically a landing page.

A landing page is an isolated web page that is designed specifically for a marketing campaign with a focus on call-to-actions. There are two types of landing pages: lead generation landing pages and clickthrough landing pages. Lead generation landing pages focus on collecting consumer data such as names and email addresses through forms. Clickthrough landing pages differ from lead generation with the different goal of aiming for sales or subscriptions instead. You will need to decide what kind of landing page your brand will design depending on your objectives.

  • Unique Offer or Proposition for Conversion
  • Simple and Aesthetic Background
  • Easy to Navigate
  • Inclusion of Visuals to Support the Offer
  • A Form or Button for the User to Convert
