When COSCHARIS TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED approached us with a unique project for their partner Huawei, we faced a noteworthy challenge. 华为 was hesitant to work with local suppliers in Nigeria, fearing that we might not meet the high standards they were accustomed to. This project involved crafting a souvenir—a notepad and pen—packaged elegantly on a die-cut foam board and housed in a meticulously crafted box.

Urgency and High Expectations

Coscharis expressed deep concern. The stakes were high because Huawei insisted on sourcing the souvenir from China, confident in the quality they could guarantee there. Sophia, the project lead, reached out to convey their fears but also shared her belief in our capability to deliver. She urged me not to disappoint them—a sentiment that resonated with us deeply.

Facing Material Shortages

With the trusted sample in hand, we set out to tackle this challenge head-on. Our first hurdle emerged: the local market lacked the matte foiling we needed to replicate the sample's quality. Without it, we could not move forward. We quickly placed an order for the specific shade of deep gray foiling that would complete the notepad and pen design.

Our strong understanding of the industry proved invaluable. We knew where to source rare materials and maintained connections with vendors who could assist us under pressure. This network helped us find everything we needed, except for that elusive matte foiling.

A Leap of Faith

In a bold move, we decided to forge ahead without testing a sample. Many might consider this a risky decision, yet we believed wholeheartedly in our craftsmanship. We reassured Coscharis: if Huawei was dissatisfied with the final product, they didn’t need to pay.

With determination, we crafted the foam board, precisely cut and engraved for the pen and notepad. Time was of the essence, and we remained committed to delivering an outstanding product. When the matte foil finally arrived, our excitement surged as we applied it to the notepads, achieving a quality we were proud of.

Presentation and Applause

Once everything was assembled, we carefully executed the finishing touches, wrapping the notepad and placing it perfectly on the foam board. When we delivered the final product, Sophia was thrilled. Her excitement grew even more when she presented it to her managing director, who was just as impressed.

This was more than a simple project; it was a make-or-break moment for Sophia within her company and for ensuring Huawei’s trust in local partners.
