From crevettes to camarones: Europe's diverse tastes in shrimp
If the EU alliance was dependent on similar seafood tastes then the UK wouldn’t be the only country to have jumped ship. While there might be a trend toward homogenisation across the block – it's hard to ignore the growing ubiquity of salmon in continental supermarkets – there’s still plenty of regional variation. As Sander Visch’s new analysis makes clear, in shrimp alone there’s still a healthy difference in preferences. Long may it last, not least as it helps to keep the seafood sector so compelling.
