From Corporate Ladder to Creative Powerhouse
A Woman's Journey to Fulfilment

From Corporate Ladder to Creative Powerhouse

Recently, I had the honour of attending the "What Happened to You?" event at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in Johannesburg.? It was a whirlwind of inspiration and learning, reinforcing my dedication to storytelling and women's empowerment.? As I stood among these young women - future leaders and change-makers, I was reminded why I ventured down this path.

"Be Courageous. Be Kind. Be Unique" - Suzanne Franco
Meeting Oprah was a beacon illuminating the powerful echoes of resilience and courage encapsulated in 'Exile Child' and 'Soul Force'. Their narratives, fervent and unyielding, stand as testaments to the triumph of spirit over adversity." — Suzanne Franco, Author of 'Exile Child' and 'Soul Force'.

Celebrating Our Inner Voice

Amid life's constant demands, an inner voice, soft yet compelling, guided me to my purpose: spotlighting the unsung, powerful narratives of marginalised yet courageous women of our unique South African history.? Their untold stories of resilience deserved to take centre stage.? Tending to this inner voice has not been a smooth journey, but it has motivated me to inspire all women.

A Spark Ignites: Leaving the Corporate World

In 2020, driven by a deep-seated yearning to fulfil my dreams, I stepped off the corporate ladder and took a leap of faith.? The destination?? The entrepreneurial realm, Random Creations - a content creation and research agency born from my insatiable desire to narrate compelling stories.

The Power of Storytelling

"Be Bold. Be Yourself. Be Heard." - Suzanne Franco

As an author, I've explored various human experiences through my books "Soul Force" and "Exile Child." At the Oprah Winfrey conference, I was reminded of Oprah Winfrey's profound words: "If we want to understand the oak, it's back to the acorn we must go." This insightful perspective fuels my forthcoming novel on the unsung heroines of the Anglo-Boer War and similarly drives my entrepreneurial journey.

In the face of injustice and racist laws, the indomitable women of 'Exile Child' and 'Soul Force' stand unflinching, akin to Oprah - a symphony of strength, wisdom, and transformative power." — Suzanne Franco, Author of 'Exile Child' and 'Soul Force'.

Resilience in the Face of Adversity

Just as these brave women from history bore the brunt of war, entrepreneurs, especially women, often face uphill battles.? From societal pressures to balancing personal and professional life, the journey can be challenging.? Yet, as I've found with writing Exile Child and Soul Force, these challenges only make us more resilient and determined.

Celebrating Courage, Resilience, and Dreams

As we celebrate women's strength and courage, let's recognise our resilience and the audacity to dream.? Let's embrace our personal and professional journeys, the trials and triumphs, and remember that every experience shapes us, much like the acorn that grows into a mighty oak.

To every woman who's ever dared to dream - you can, you will and you deserve to. - Suzanne Franco
