From coding at age 5 to becoming a software developer:

Leena Rafeeq. Leena is an 11-year-old who is inspired by the venture of coding. Starting to code at age 5, she began to learn more about coding and started developing her skills in it. She developed her first ever website at the age of six and created her first ever application at the age of 10.

Tell us something about yourself, and also let us know about how your journey commenced.

I began exploring coding when I was about 5 or 6 years old. My parents, who are both skilled coders, are the reason why I started gravitating towards coding. I created my very first webpage at the age of six. My sister was inspired to pursue programming after observing my passion for it. She soon joined me, and I eventually became her coding and programming instructor. C++, HTML, Python, and other programming languages are just a few of the ones my sister and I have used. I have been building up various ideas to create an application which would benefit many people. Since I couldn't put many ideas into practice, I discarded most of my thoughts for applications. Finally, I decided to develop an app that aids in diagnosing diseases for users of any age. This introduced me to Oogler Eye Scan, a programme that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to thoroughly scan your eyes and enable you to diagnose eye problems. If you need assistance, our app can also tell you where the closest eye doctors are. Oogler Eye Scan has been a popular application since its introduction.

Why do you think programming is an influential art to follow?

Programming and coding are the fundamental building blocks defining the future. People will likely begin conversing with machines and progress to artificial intelligence. To live an inviting lifestyle and thrive in the upcoming years, it's crucial to know how to code and programme because robots may replace many jobs.

Tell us about your Oogler Eye Scanner App and its benefits.

A comprehensive eye scan and disease detection are both capabilities of our Oogler Eye Scanner App. The four disorders that our app can currently diagnose are melanoma, arcus, pterygium, and cataract. Additionally, it can perform a comprehensive scan that can detect all of these disorders at once. Using your GPS position, the app also lets you browse for eye hospitals in the area. Additionally, the app can check pupil distance. You can compare the findings of the previous scan with the results of the most recent scan using the app. It offers a separate section where you may learn more about the specific eye illness in addition to allowing you to scan for those disorders.

How do you think the Oogler Eye Scanner App impacts society?

Many people can identify illnesses in their eyes and have them checked out as soon as possible with the Oogler Eye Scanner App. Many people have benefited from this by preventing their eye conditions from becoming incurable. The app will soon have additional ailments that we intend to introduce. More people would benefit from this, and we are constantly working to make our programme available to more users worldwide. Let us know a few words about your inspirations and hobbies. Also, tell us about your advice towards youngsters.

Coding is one of the few things I genuinely enjoy, and it is my favourite hobby. Additionally, I enjoy reading and watching films. My parents, without a doubt, serve as my inspiration if I discuss it. They have been encouraging throughout my journey, providing me with fresh concepts and business initiatives I might pursue. I advise young people to act practically. As a software engineer, I'd like to encourage more youngsters to pursue careers in computing and programming.

If there’s anything that you want to change in society, what would that be?

The educational system is the one thing I would most like to alter. There are several restrictions on the current educational system. In the modern world, subject-based grading is necessary. For instance, I was given a grade 6 book for computer science and coding in sixth grade. I discovered that I knew practically everything about coding in the grade 6 book because I have been programming since I was six. This may be altered so kids who already understand the earlier topics can go on to more advanced books rather than wasting an entire year trying to learn the same thing again.
