Another project on open-source is LoadPartner. Their building the OSS TMS. I've spoke with the founder Nicholas Sorrell a few weeks back and also follow them on Github https://github.com/loadpartner. Building in the open is great, but Building a community around the vision is crucial. I bet you didn't know that Microsoft, WordPress, and other big named corporations have open-source and the community contributes to their processes.. All in all, YOU are essentially building the infrastructure you use today, with community help. Imagine if you were at the beginning of the tools you LOVE and helped shape it from concept into your vision. Where would it be, and what direction would you have steered it? As Daymond John says: "Built for you, by us (FUBU). That's what Aston is. I made it to the top 3 out of many to get the Chance to speak with Daymond on Opin which is owned by Adam Weitsman & Jeff Knauss. Pitching the vision of Aston and why it was built on top of OSS, from a tragic loss into vision that took back time, especially in sales. I also cold emailed Mark Cuban which was a step into the unknown ?? Using tools are cool, but building & owning a piece along side it with your input along the way is PRICELESS ??
