From Coaching to Company: Success Stories of Three Entrepreneurial Innovators

Since January 2021, I’ve worked with over 75 people from Linkedin.?

Most have experienced amazing results. Some have gone on to start businesses.

Coaching is often misunderstood. People think it works like having a sports coach where you’re shown what to do.?

Others think it’s just a chat. A conversation to help you feel better.?

But could you imagine changing your life AND creating your own business in such a short period?

Some people have experienced one-off coaching sessions before, often provided by work. The feedback is usually average.

The session was a freebie from an external company.

Whilst this isn’t a bad thing, these sessions are often ineffective. One conversation is never enough to embed the changes you want.

When we work together, the minimum amount of sessions I offer is 4 over 6 weeks. Why??

Because if you want lasting change, this takes time. And a 30-minute chat isn’t going to cut it!?

Good coaching should enable your personal growth. And this should be gradual.?

Coaching enables you to take on your demons, break out of bad habits and become more productive. ?

In today’s Newsletter, I’m going to talk about 3 people who have created inspiring journeys into entrepreneurship.?

People who were stuck. Lost in their careers.?

Sam Mikkelsen

Backstory

After spending 25 years in recruitment, Sam felt unsatisfied with life.?

A high performer with excellent communication skills, Sam had great relationships with IT companies who picked him to run their recruitment campaigns.?

Successful on the outside but unhappy on the inside. He was going from one job to another, and feeling frustrated. This is when we met.?

Throughout my Personal Transformation Programme, I did a lot of work on exposing Sam’s core Values.?

Freedom and Happiness made up his 6 Master Values to live by. The problem was he wasn’t living either of these.?

This had to change.?

At one level, Sam knew wanted to start a business. But, he didn’t believe in himself. Years of self-doubt stopped him from taking action.?

He could never take that risk.?

Through coaching, I helped Sam to transform his mindset. He ditched his limiting beliefs through coaching tools and techniques. He started to believe in himself again.

Business & Success: Sam took the plunge in October 2021 and created TrueWorth Consulting, an IT Tech Recruitment Company built on Sam’s core values of honesty, professionalism and morality.?

And I’m pleased to say that Sam has turned over ￡1m in 2 years. He also has 2 x employees.?

What a turnaround. I still coach Sam every month and I’m proud of the journey he’s been on.

Oana Pasalou Cioba

Backstory

When I started working with Oana, she was in a bad place. She’d lost her identity, as a mum and professional. She didn’t know where to turn next.

Could she continue to work in Data Management or was she being called to something new??

In September 2022 I got to work on finding out WHO Oana was. We discussed an inspiring vision for her life. A goal to work towards and a renewed focus for her life.?

Very quickly, it was clear Oana wanted to help others. She wanted to become a coach. She wanted to live in alignment with her values.?

And so, in the Summer of 2023, she launched 1ah Coaching, a business with a purpose: to help overwhelmed entrepreneurs beat Parental Burnout.?

Business & Success: Since then, she’s been crafting a wonderful personal brand on Linkedin (check out her profile HERE), presenting at events and enrolling her first coaching clients.?

It’s been fantastic to see, and I know she’s going to have every success in the future in her new career and business.?

What a difference 12 months can make. ?

Jonny Quirk

Backstory

Jonny’s career success was never in doubt. After working for brands like WeWork, Deliveroo and Yelp, he gained a great reputation.

He was the go-to man in Digital Communities.?

But something wasn’t right. He’d become frustrated with the boom and bust of start-up life. He wanted something more.?

So, when he entered Session 1 in my Personal Transformation Programme, I knew there was heaps of potential.?

Very quickly, he decided he needed to take a new approach.?

What if he could use his knowledge in building Digital Communities and use this to build a business for himself??

If he did this, he could add greater flexibility to his life and add more value to a broader range of clients.?

He simply needed the push that comes from working with a coach.?

What’s so pleasing about Jonny’s story is that he’s been able to monetize his business idea straight away. He’s jumped straight into using social media to promote his business and built momentum quickly.

What he likes about coaching is the accountability and follow-up in between sessions. This has improved his productivity 10x fold.?

Conclusion

All three of my clients started from a position of self-doubt.?

They didn’t believe they were capable of fulfilling their potential. But all had an itch to do something different, to create something unique.

Coaching allows you to unlock the door to the person you know you’re capable of being.?
