From Classroom to Corporate!!!

This July I switched my profession from teaching to corporate. While it was extremely hard to do as I was unhappy for past couple of months. I left teaching for mountain of reasons: exhaustion of every variety, one-sided respect, low compensation, horrific work life harmony, and a growing feeling of dread!

I started to feel burnt out and that was affecting both myself and my students negatively. I didn't become a teacher to just complete my syllabus or to teach about tests, but that's what I was doing. I wasn't feeling fulfilled and was more frustrated than anything.

It was very difficult for me to move on to completely different life. I miss my passion, I miss my students, I will miss the way they made me laugh and love, I'll miss our shared experiences, I'll miss the connection with each student, I'll miss seeing them grow and lastly I'll miss seeing how they turned out. Everybody loves their life during their college days and if you want to live that life forever, the best you can do is choose becoming a teacher. I am currently heading the department of operations at a realtor company working to create learning solutions within a corporate environment and I could not be more thrilled with my career move!

Just one piece of advice I give to myself is -

Hustle Harder, no matter what happens and We Live, We Laugh & We Love What We Do. We're teachers, but we're human, too!
