From Christian Entrepreneur ... to Kingdom Entrepreneur
From my earliest days as an entrepreneur, I was definitely a Christian, but perhaps not Kingdom-Driven. At a young age I got saved, but if I'm being completely transparent, the main reason was to avoid going to hell. The church at that time was famous for scaring the hell out of you, literally! And while I had a relationship with Jesus Christ, I wouldn't describe it as great. It was pretty much a one-way relationship with me doing all the talking ... lot's of praying/begging on my part. But I wasn't hearing much from Him.
My relationship with God drastically changed when I began reading the Bible. I discovered the Bible contained over 6000 promises for me and that God actually wanted me to prosper and be successful. Instead of a book of rules, the Bible became a book of promises. That's good news to a struggling entrepreneur. But more than anything, I started to hear His voice and we began having daily conversations. Over time, through obedience, I became a friend of God. It was about a healthy relationship with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.
What is important to God became a priority for me, and at some point, so did the size of heaven and hell. Like my Father in heaven, it became my desire that none should perish. I began to see The Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-19) as His marching orders for me.
This was the transition from an entrepreneur who happens to be a Christian, to becoming Kingdom-Driven. Hence, the Kingdom Entrepreneur.
Kingdom Purpose - As my relationship with God blossomed, I began to understand that God had a plan and purpose for my life. And for me, it was in the marketplace where I will spend over 100,000 hours as an entrepreneur. Not only was I an entrepreneur, God gave me a platform to became an influencer.
If you are a believer, a follower of Jesus Christ, deep inside you is a God planted purpose. A Calling. A Kingdom Calling. A desire to make a difference in the marketplace. There are seven cultural mountains that shape a society.
- Business
- Government
- Arts & Entertainment
- Media
- Education
- Family
- Religion
Unfortunately, the church (Christians), have allowed God to get kicked out of all of them. How? In my opinion, to get along, we've simply gone along. We've allowed it to happen on our watch. The good news is that it takes less than 6% of society to change an entire culture for the good or bad. But the action happens in the marketplace, not in a church building. The salt has to leave the salt shaker.
The great commission is our marching orders to win souls, make disciples, and transform cities and nations. A Kingdom Entrepreneur partners with God to do just that.
If you are on a journey to become a Kingdom Entrepreneur, we are here to provide you with the path, method and mentorship to navigate through these four stages of development.
