As a content writer and manager, I've witnessed the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and its impact on our industry. One tool that has gained significant attention is the infamous ChatGPT, which has sparked discussions about whether it can be considered cheating. I've been passionate about writing my whole life and I had this unsettling feeling in the beginning that ChatGPT or Jasper AI would take over my job and leave me unemployed. However, I started using it just to see what the hype was all about, and with time I started using it whenever I was stuck and needed ideas or when I needed validation on an idea or framework. I kept asking myself, is this considered cheating? A voice in my head said yes but right now I'm not so sure anymore!
Embracing Efficiency and Productivity:
As I started using it more often, I realized that ChatGPT is not about cheating, but about maximizing efficiency and productivity. Rather than viewing it as a shortcut, I see it as an invaluable assistant that streamlines my processes. ChatGPT has helped me generate ideas, conduct research, proofread long content, and provide quick suggestions, saving me time and allowing me to focus on higher-value tasks.
Time = Value
Time holds immense value, and it is crucial to recognize that leveraging ChatGPT is not about cutting corners but optimizing the use of our most precious resource. As professionals, our time is limited, and we must make every minute count. By harnessing the capabilities of ChatGPT, we can finish tasks more efficiently, allowing us to allocate time to areas that truly require our expertise and strategic thinking. This redistribution of workload makes sure that time is spent on high-value activities that align with core skills, resulting in increased productivity and ultimately enhancing the overall value we delivered. Embracing ChatGPT as a time-saving tool maximizes the impact of our efforts while maintaining the quality and effectiveness of our work.

Contrary to the cheating notion, ChatGPT acts as a catalyst for creativity and collaboration within content teams. I've found that leveraging AI-powered tools allows me to brainstorm with an intelligent assistant, exploring different angles and refining ideas. It complements creative capabilities, working alongside us instead of replacing us.

Humans make mistakes, there's always a margin of human error in any job. This is why quality assurance is crucial for people, especially in content, and ChatGPT can be a valuable resource in this regard. Personally, I've found that it assists in proofreading, and grammar checking, and even provides suggestions to enhance clarity and coherence.
Ethical Usage and Responsibility
As content people, we have a responsibility to use ChatGPT ethically and responsibly. It is important to maintain transparency with stakeholders regarding the involvement of AI tools in the content creation process. While ChatGPT can be a powerful assistant, the ultimate responsibility for the content's accuracy, originality, and adherence to ethical standards still rests with us.
We should always think about adding our own personal touch to our content, the signature that makes it sound like you or your brand. I asked ChatGPT to write this whole article, but I intervened and added my own words, thoughts and "touch" to make it sound like me - I'm pretty sure my boss would figure out it was me writing this if she read it without knowing the author.

I believe that no AI tool can truly capture the authentic brand essence and value like a creative copywriter can. It may be a good copywriter, but it can never replace a human creative copywriter! ??
