Hello Purpose-Seekers,
First, I want to start with an apology. I’ve been away for the last two weeks and wasn’t able to send out my regular newsletter. The reason? I’ve been incredibly focused on finalising the edits of my book, Career Change is Chaos... Unless You Find Your Purple Purpose. We are in the final stages of editing, and it has been quite time-consuming. But I felt it was essential to prioritise this work because I care deeply about the outcome. This book is not just another career change guide; it’s a passion project that I’ve poured my heart and soul into.
Someone asked me recently, “Why did you write this book?” For me, this book is the culmination of four years of research and personal work in the realms of personal development and career development, as well as the creation of my Purposeek Coaching Method . This method wasn’t just born out of my experiences as a finance consultant who turned purposeful entrepreneur and career coach; it was shaped by intensive research, my journey toward self-discovery, and my desire to help others do the same.
This topic is more than just important—it’s one of my life’s passions. In a world where we are constantly busy—working jobs, raising families, managing social and financial responsibilities—it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger question: What is our purpose in life? The way society is structured today doesn’t often leave room for self-reflection or purpose-seeking. We get swept up in the busyness of life—husbands, wives, partners working full-time jobs, raising kids, paying mortgages, juggling extracurriculars and social lives... and the cycle continues.
For me, realizing the importance of purpose came a little later in life, but I believe it’s never too late. I don’t like to dwell on the fact that I discovered this after turning 40—although, yes, I wish I had understood it earlier. But everyone has their own unique journey. The lessons I learned during my earlier years helped shape the transformation I went through when I finally made the leap into career coaching and purpose-driven entrepreneurship after leaving my career in finance consulting.
So, why does this book matter so much to me? It’s not just about career transitions, although that’s a significant part of it. It’s about making your career change more joyful, more purposeful, and gaining the clarity you need to move forward confidently. It’s about finding a way to navigate the chaos and turn it into clarity and purpose. This isn’t just my story—it’s all of ours. And I hope this book becomes a tool that helps you, too, discover your unique path and your own Purple Purpose. But there’s more to it...

When someone asked me why this book really matters, I realised it’s not just about succeeding in your career change. Yes, the approach is structured to help you succeed, and it’s proven to bring clarity. But if you look deeper, this book is about something even more profound: awareness. Awareness of where you are in life, why you’re doing what you’re doing, and for what purpose. Finding meaning in everything you do.
We've all been successful, checked off the milestones, but sometimes we still feel that lack of fulfilment. Many of us don’t understand why, and as we perform and achieve, we can even experience burnout without knowing the cause. In my experience, the biggest reason for this is misalignment with our purpose. Once you prioritise purpose—not just in your career, but in your life as a whole—it becomes a holistic approach. You start operating in a way that’s fully aligned with who you are, and that’s where true fulfilment begins. Often, we try to cope with the feelings of exhaustion or unfulfillment by turning to quick fixes: binge-watching TV shows, overeating, or other coping mechanisms. But these solutions only push the problem down, adding another layer to the discomfort.
The true solution is to seek your purpose. Whether you find it through introspection, your connection with God, or through reflecting on your past experiences, you must take that journey. This is the road to fulfilment, and I believe that once you embark on it, not only will you become a better version of yourself, but you’ll also contribute to making the world a better place. When you’re at peace with yourself, you’re not interested in harming others or feeling envious. You’re interested in giving, growing, and spreading goodness. The more you feel aligned and fulfilled, the better you are for those around you.
Seeking your purpose isn’t just a “nice-to-have.” It’s a duty—to yourself, to your family, to your community, and to the world. If we all took responsibility for becoming better, more purpose-driven people, we’d leave behind a better world for our children. I look forward to sharing more insights with you, and thank you for your patience during these busy weeks.
Together, we can continue this conversation about purpose and how to live with greater intention.
Until next week,?
