From a channel leader: Three essential traits of a great mobility partner

The mobility space is a competitive one. Reaching out to customers of all sizes and industries that have a variety of challenges can be a difficult space to navigate. That's why it's important to find a mobility partner that can help you transform your customers' businesses. But what should you be looking for when choosing the right partner???

At T-Mobile for Business, we're making strategic investments to improve our partner and customer experience. Below, I'll walk through a few points that I believe are important to consider when selecting a partner.?

Flexibility and ownership?

How a value-added reseller (VAR) conducts a sale can’t be overlooked—and the truth is, everyone does it differently. That’s why the T-Mobile for Business partner team wants to support you in whatever way you prefer to sell. Our partner teaming models encourage sales from all directions, whether that’s generated by the partner, sold through the partner, or sold with the partner. We don’t want to limit any opportunities, so we encourage all types of engagements.?

We also don’t have any blocked accounts. Partners can collaborate with us on any account in the country, from national chains to a single mom-and-pop shop. If there’s potential, we want to support it. And we won’t bifurcate out the compensation—there’s no cutting our partners from deals on our side. These flexible selling models are how we show appreciation for our partners—recognizing that they help us as much as we help them.?

Enablement and support?

To support our partner sales, we invest heavily in enablement. From customized marketing materials to exclusive offers, we’re always looking for ways to boost our partners’ efforts. We’ve developed several new campaign-in-a-box assets so that partners have the email templates, LinkedIn ads, pitch decks, and other promotional content needed to sell a specific solution.??

We also keep a pulse on what our partners truly need to close the sale and continue to make improvements to assist them. Recently, we’ve been revamping our Partner Portal, making the user experience more seamless to help streamline deal capture, make resources more accessible, and offer unmatched support throughout the sales journey.??

To show our appreciation and help incentivize selling, our tailor-made rewards program offers a range of benefits to help our partners reach customers and grow their businesses.?
