Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of leaders in keynotes, workshops, and intimate boardroom coaching sessions. And in nearly every setting, I ask them to reflect on a simple question: “What’s the primary emotion you’ve been feeling over the last 30-60 days?”

While I do get a few responses like joy and gratitude, it’s striking how many leaders, managers, and team members are dealing with these heavy emotions—emotions that too often lead to burnout.
