A simple meeting between two car buffs, Russ Jackson and Tom Barrett, in the 1960’s grew into a gasoline-powered haven for collectors and enthusiasts alike. According to barrettjackson.com , Fiesta de los Autos Elegantes car show and parade took place in 1967 in Scottsdale, Arizona, to raise money for Scottsdale’s art center and to stock the bookshelves of the local library. Within four years, the car-show-turned-auction, grew into the most prestigious and anticipated collector car event in the industry.
