From beginner to expert

Hey Girlfriend,

Sometimes I lack the knowledge about proper skincare and color cosmetics.

Yep, that’s my truth bomb today.

I'm not sure what brought you here, but just in case you were thinking I have it all figured out, let me share…

I have always been a tomboy. Never a girly girl.

In high school, I went from tomboy to female jock.

I can remember when my mother actually begged me to wear lipstick. She believed I needed to at least have on lipstick.

So I rocked a plum lipstick. That was all the makeup I wore.

I tell you this because it's ok to feel like understanding proper skincare and color cosmetics is overwhelming.

A beauty regimen didn't seem to be important until I started interviewing for jobs and working in the corporate world.

I wanted to have a professional look. Anytime you are starting something new, there is a learning curve and you will fail sometimes.

AND THAT"S OK!!!!

I believe that the sooner I acknowledge that I didn’t have my beauty regimen all together, the sooner it will pass and I can get back to my groove and be productive.

Ok that's all I got for you today…

embrace being a beauty novice and know that these moments will happen…

own it and it will help you keep on moving.

Oh and you should know now that no matter how much you learn, these moments will happen.

We are all human and we must let go of our past mistakes and negative self-talk so make sure to surround yourself with people who will keep you encouraged.
