From Astra Tech to Wellspect: My journey of growth and development

“My Wellspect story began in 2004, a pivotal year in my life. Back then, the company was known as Astra Tech, and it was my very first job within a multinational corporation. It was a significant change from my previous work experiences that would shape me in countless ways. In those early years, we were a small, close-knit group of colleagues, and our office had a family-like atmosphere. Just one year into my journey, we moved to a larger complex. Little did we know that this was just the beginning of Wellspect's incredible expansion.?

I learned about the impact our products have on the users’ lives.?

My initial role was in the order department, where I managed both the LoFric product line and the surgical and respiratory line. It was in this role that I began to truly understand what made our products unique and indispensable. I learned about the transformative impact our products had on the lives of the users. As time went on, my career path took an unexpected turn, leading me to the Tender team. Here, my mission was clear: To empower individuals dealing with bladder and bowel dysfunction by ensuring they had access to our life-changing products for an improved quality of life.?

Today, the landscape has evolved significantly. The company has undergone various changes, from being acquired by Dentsply Sirona to our transformation into Wellspect. In this new phase, I've taken on the role of Tender specialist. Together with my colleague Alice, I guide and support the entire tender process. In addition to this, I handle our general facility services, managing the activities of the Bologna office, and providing support in organizing Wellspect Italia events.?

Reflecting on challenges and triumphs?

Looking back, one of the most challenging moments in my Wellspect journey occurred in January 2023. It was the month we organized the "SOUTH EUROPE COMMERCIAL MEETING," bringing together colleagues from Italy, France, and Spain. The event came with its fair share of challenges as it was the first time I organized such an event, trying to find activities that would satisfy all participants. Seeing it all come together successfully was an immensely rewarding experience.?

But what truly warms my heart is all the messages we receive from patients whose lives have been transformed by our devices. Equally satisfying is the sense of accomplishment that comes with winning tenders as a team, a testament to the hard work and dedication we pour into every product and service.?

What motivates me to come to work each day is the knowledge that the quality of our products has a real, tangible impact on the daily lives of our users. Being part of a group that actively strives to enhance the lives of individuals is a powerful incentive that fuels my enthusiasm and dedication.?

I firmly believe that everything we do at Wellspect makes a difference. Our unwavering belief in our products and their potential to alleviate the suffering of those in need is the driving force behind our daily efforts. One remarkable example of our impactful work is the "Sex-ability" project, a deeply personal initiative. This project focuses on sexual inclusion and well-being for people with disabilities, featuring interviews with influential figures in the field of equal rights and social inclusion. I had the privilege of meeting some of these incredible individuals in person during the project, and their strength and resilience left an indelible mark on my heart.?
