From AI Consumer to Creator: When Marketers Build Apps

From AI Consumer to Creator: When Marketers Build Apps

Welcome to Rick's AI-Powered Sales Automation Tips & Tricks!

My Promise: Each week, I promise no hype—just tested use cases you can immediately apply to your sales strategy. And for a bit of fun, enjoy some twisted advertisements along the way.

This week's story perfectly captures what happens when marketers embrace their inner builder. Spoiler alert: It involves some rather judgmental cats.

A Tale of Two Features

Just last week, Claude rolled out its writing style analysis feature. Pretty cool stuff — it analyzes your writing and mimics your style. But here's where it gets interesting... we looked at this feature and thought, "We can do better."

You see, while Claude's analysis is neat, it's like getting a sketch when you need a detailed blueprint. We wanted the full architectural plans of someone's writing style. So we built it.

What We Created (In Our "Spare Time")

Remember last week when I talked about marketers becoming builders? Well, we put our money where our mouth is. We just launched our Writing Style Analysis app. It's free, it's public, and yes — it comes with some seriously snarky cats who might judge your writing style. (Don't take it personally, they judge everyone.)

Want to try it out? Here's the link: https://copycat.ai-marketinglabs.com? Go ahead — it's completely free. Consider it our gift to the marketing community. After all, that's what we do in The AI Marketing Automation Lab — we share, we build, we innovate together.

Here's what makes it special:

  1. Deep Analysis Magic
  2. Multi-Platform Symphony
  3. Built By Marketers, For Marketers

Short video explaining the app:

The Tech Stack That Made It Possible

We combined these AI tools like instruments in an orchestra:

  • Midjourney for visuals
  • Kling and DupDub for processing
  • OpenAI and Claude for analysis
  • Bolt for framework
  • Make and Airtable for infrastructure

Why This Matters to You

This isn't just about a writing analysis app. It's about what happens when marketers stop waiting for solutions and start building them. We're not developers. We didn't do alpha or beta testing. We just had an idea and made it real.

And here's the really exciting part — this is exactly the kind of project we tackle in The AI Marketing Automation Lab. We're a community of professional marketers who exchange ideas, share templates, and help each other deploy AI automations. When one of us builds something cool, we all learn from it. When someone hits a roadblock, the community jumps in to help.

Think about it:

  • No massive development team
  • No venture capital
  • No years of coding experience
  • Just creativity, available tools, and a supportive community

A brief word from this week’s sponsor: ACCME Cookware

Key Takeaways

  1. The barrier between idea and reality is lower than ever
  2. AI tools are your building blocks
  3. Perfect is the enemy of launched
  4. Community accelerates innovation
  5. Marketers can (and should) be builders

Why This Matters

Every marketer has that "wouldn't it be cool if..." idea. The difference now is that you can turn that idea into reality. Our app isn't perfect — and that's exactly the point. We built it to show what's possible when you stop waiting and start creating.

So here's my question: What app have you been dreaming about building? What's holding you back? Drop your thoughts in the comments — maybe we can help make it real.

Until next week, keep building and stay curious!

P.S. Don't forget to check out the Writing Style Analysis App (it's free!). And yes, the cats are waiting to judge your writing style. Don't say I didn't warn you!

P.P.S. Want to see more projects like this? Come join us in The AI Marketing Automation Lab. We're always building something interesting!

This is cool! I'm mildly obsessed with learning how to use AI. I've been using ChatGPT for brainstorming and outlining ideas. Then of course, I get stuck at analysis paralysis because it sort of sounds like me, but a little off. Definitely need to check out copy cat.

Wow! I’m speechless though if I were in 150 words, you’d be able to analyze me (something my therapist has tried to do for years. ??). Kudos!
