From 9 to 5 and Beyond: Navigating Life's Challenges as an Employee?and?a?Father

1. What barriers or obstacles do you face each day?

I believe challenges make us better. It would be wrong to say I have never faced any kind of tough challenges in my life. There were many instances when I was stuck but rather than sulking and thinking about it as an obstacle, I take it as an opportunity/challenge to overcome it with abilities and a positive attitude/mindset. Challenges are a part of life, it depends on the person and how we deal with it.

2. What are your hobbies apart from being an awesome HR?

?Binge-watching and playing/watching cricket.

3. Any specific passion or hobby that you would like us to focus on?

Tell us a bit about it. Apart from binge-watching and playing/watching cricket, food excites me a lot. Whether it is trying a new cuisine or restaurant or trying your hands on new recipes, I am always in.

4. Being a new Dad, how has the juggling been? Anything you learnt from your baby?

It has been a roller coaster ride as juggling between sleepless nights and a full day office is not easy. But still, these are days that I’ll cherish throughout my life as a newborn is a newborn just once. Babies unknowingly teach you a lot of important life lessons.

Aahana has taught me that we should live in the moment. Everyday I am treasuring beautiful moments with her because after some years both of us won’t be the same but the memories will be.

5. When did you join the Tribe?

I joined Tribe in September 2022.

6. How has your experience been?

My overall working experience with Tribe has been fantastic. Being department head for the first time I got hands-on experience with many extensive skills.

7. What do love most about Tribe???

"I absolutely love the teamwork and the respect that we all have for one another. It is fun coming to work with happy people who love where they work and I see smiles everywhere I turn".

“If you had to choose one word to describe the work culture, which word would you choose?” I think the word ‘inclusive’ best fits the culture here at Tribe.

8. What are your long-term goals???

I want to learn new things and develop my skills as an HR. It will not just help me build a successful career but also break the monotony of work. Having a work-life balance, doing what I love and maintaining physical and mental health is the ultimate goal.

9. What personality traits do you feel an employee needs to be successful in the role that you are currently in?

A good PR with everybody is a must for anyone working in Human Resources. All of your skills won’t be of any help if you’re not a people’s person. People shouldn’t feel twice before presenting their grievances in front of you.
