From 0 to 1000 Followers: How to Grow Your LinkedIn Company Page Quickly

Set Your Page Up For Success

First and foremost, it's important to optimise and set up your page correctly to avoid disappointment for visitors.

• Make sure all fields are completed.
• Write the About section for your ideal client and think about what they would be looking for. Hint: they don't need the history of your company.
• Ditch the jargon and make it engaging.

Company Page Invite Credits

We recommend using invite credits each month to invite first-degree connections to follow the page. Page admins have 250 invite credits each month in total that can be used to invite targeted connections.

Additionally, employees receive 30 invite credits to invite their first-degree connections to follow the page if the page has 5,000 or fewer followers.

LinkedIn Follow Button Plugin

Another effective strategy is to insert a follow button on your company website using LinkedIn's code. This button automatically makes visitors followers of your company page. The code can be found here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/consumer/integrations/self-serve/plugins/follow-company-plugin

Note that this may not be available for some European countries due to GDPR restrictions. You will need to research this. The button isn't exactly pretty, but it is effective and is good for social proof.

Include Your LinkedIn Company Page in Your Social Links

You can also include the Company Page on social media Quick Links, to help direct visitors to the page. Adding the page to email signatures and including the details in newsletters is also helpful.

Inviting New Connections to Follow Your LinkedIn Page

When it comes to promoting your LinkedIn Company Page,a great time to do it is when you first connect with someone. It's important to ask for permission before sharing the page link, as this shows good etiquette and avoids coming across as spammy. By doing so, you have two opportunities to nurture people as a first-degree connection or as a Company Page follower.

Commenting as Your LinkedIn Company Page

Other strategies include commenting on posts as a Company Page. Think of this as adding a little signpost to direct people back to your page. There are lots of smart ways to do this. eg support client's posts, support manufacturer posts if you are a distributor, support collaborative partners etc

Growing Your Company Page Takes Time

I cannot stress enough the importance of taking action to grow your Company Page on LinkedIn. It cannot be done passively, and no magic wand can fix it. However, with the tips I provided, most businesses can easily reach a thousand followers within three to four months, especially with the whole team helping in the early phase.
