The Red & Black connected with Athens through local engagement events
This past month, Red & Black students and staff attended multiple community events in the area to further connect with local residents. At the Lyndon House Arts Center, Historic Athens hosted a Red & Black History Hour, delving into our evolution as a primary news outlet in the area. Our marketing and advertising students joined forces with the Terry College of Business to participate in and judge their Professional Sales Competition. And, the communications team visited Holston Elementary School to speak with students at their Career Day Fair about what it means to be a journalist. We loved connecting with the community through these unique opportunities!
