Welcome to our monthly newsletter, which provides updates on The Red & Black's programs, student success, and organizational progress.
The Georgia-Florida Rivalry Challenge is heating up, and we have some catching up to do!
Halloween isn't until tomorrow, but today, there's something even scarier than ghosts and haunted houses — losing to The Alligator!
We're competing to fundraise before the Nov. 2 kickoff of the Georgia-Florida game.? We are seeking to raise $10,000 to cover our annual travel costs associated with sending our photo and sports journalists to cover the Bulldogs all season long. We have raised nearly $3,000 towards this goal, but Florida has steamrolled past us with an impressive $9,000 raised.?
If we lose, our masthead will turn Florida blue in a future print edition. We can't let that happen — donate today before Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3:30 p.m. when the Bulldogs take on Florida in Jacksonville.?
You can also read our annual Rivalry Edition online now for a preview of this weekend's game. Our students produced this in collaboration with the Independent Florida Alligator. Check it out here.
Pre-order the alumni sweatshirt!
We loved hearing your feedback on our first-ever merch made exclusively for alumni. You voted, and we had a clear winner in the pocket-style logo design for the front of the sweatshirt. Plus, we added a design to the back of the sweatshirt — a silhouette of the iconic Red & Black building at 540 Baxter St. Thank you for the great ideas!?
Click here to pre-order now until Nov. 15. Sweatshirts will ship in late November. We can't wait to see you repping The Red & Black, and remember: all proceeds support the organization.?
