Friends, Projects, Learnings, and Growing: My Diploma Journey at Government Polytechnic

Hello, LinkedIn professionals. I want to share with you something that is very important to me: my college journey. It has been a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs, challenges and achievements, and most importantly, learning and growth. Let me take you through some of the highlights of my three-year adventure. Completing a diploma from Government Polytechnic has been an incredible journey filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. From academic achievements to extracurricular success, my time at the institution has been nothing short of transformative

• My initial days in college.

I still remember the first day of college. I was nervous, anxious, and unsure of myself. I had just survived the COVID-19 pandemic, which had taken a toll on my mental health and social skills. I had become very lazy. I just wanted to attend lectures, do my assignments, and go back to my room. Since in first year i used to live in room also it was very boring experience that living in room all alone.

But things started to change when my friends invited me to hang out with them, to join their groups, and to share my thoughts and opinions. They made me feel welcome, valued, and respected. They helped me overcome my fears, doubts, and insecurities. They made me realize that I was not alone, and that I had something to contribute to the world. I am grateful to them for changing my life. Special thanks to Nisarg Wath Rajat Petkar Pushkar Jadhav Tanay Tonpe Nehanshu Surkar Aditya Ghuge ??.

But now my personality was completely changed now i liked to communicate with new peoples, discussing ideas, Working Collaboratory on project, attending sessions and events and now all the activities and Studies had become interesting for me and now i somewhat had become extroverted in nature.

• Best moments of my college life.

But the best moment of my college life started in second year. Actually in second year i had taken admission in hostel and from that i started to have more fun, now in hostel we used to study together, play games together, have dinner and lunch together, basically in hostel we started to enjoy life together, also got so many new friends in hostel and this the best time of our college life.

• Our participation in AI Odyssey

In Second Year there was a event called AI odyssey organized by G.H Raisoni College of Engineering, So our team Geeks.exe consisting of Aditya Ghuge Shripad Kulkarni Vedant Motale and Om Rakhade had participated in this event. The challenges presented were complex and multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of AI principles and the ability to think creatively under pressure. Each round of the competition pushed us to expand our knowledge and apply skills in new ways. And then with coordination and teamwork we successfully secured the position of runner up. This event was really memorable. And at the end Humari Mehnat Rang Layi.

• Participation In other Events

So now we started attending various events organized by GDSC and various other communities and from these events i started exploring the new things and technologies, the best part about attending this events was, i was able to explore the fields in which i'm interested also i was able to learn soo many new things from these events. I also stated to networking with industry professional from whom i can learn so many new things. This was the best part about exploring and learning new stuffs. Also from attending these events i started collecting Swags ??. We had attended various events like GDSC Wow, flutter forward sessions, Session by Zeka Studios, various Anime Events and various cultural events organized in our college.

• Things i am gonna always remember

So now we started enjoying college life extremely. But while focusing on studies, there are some memories that have special place in my heart from studying late night just day before exam to going to movie the day exam finished, From covering the whole syllabus just before viva to going for concerts, all these memories always feels special. Whole diploma journey is worth remembering and each and every moments was special.

• Winning the Departmental Project Competition

So in our college ISTE organized a departmental project competition, in which our team consisting of Pradnya Kapuskar Pushkar Jadhav Tanay Tonpe had participated in project competition, and guess what ! Our team won the departmental project competition, our project Magnus the smart virtual assistant had won the prize, this not only boosted our confidence but also this helped in academic journey. So our team work had made the dream work. Actually it was overwhelming for us because we had worked very hard on this project and winning prize was the best thing for us.

• Now the best part comes here : Winning Smart India Hackathon ??

Our Team Coding Zen emerged as a shining beacon of excellence, securing a remarkable victory in the prestigious Smart India Hackathon. Under the astute leadership of Nisarg Wath , and with the collaborative efforts of Rajat Petkar , Devashri Kapse , Gayatri Potbhare , and Om Rakhade , our talented team showcased unparalleled skill in the Software Edition, held on the 19th and 20th of December. We went to C.V Raman Global university for SIH grand finale.

At the core of our success lay not only technical expertise but also a profound sense of teamwork and collaboration. Under the guidance of Nisarg, Coding Zen amalgamated their individual talents, harnessing their diverse skill sets to devise innovative solutions that exceeded expectations. We crafted a cutting-edge bot for the Ministry of Power, focusing on substation maintenance with an innovative image-based solution. ????. So our Hardwork paid off and after winning SIH we also went to Shri Jagganath Puri for darshan. And this the best part until now, Winning SIH at such Young age was just like dream comes true. This Chapter holds a very special place in my heart ?.

• The final chapter of college, the last semester.

After coming from Odisha, we had our 5th semester exam and that too went quite great, Now after winning SIH we also got featured in newspaper, organized session for our juniors that how they can also take part in hackathons, etc. Now after this our Team Coding Zen with Nisarg Wath and Rajat Petkar also participated in Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) hackathon. And then we became the finalist of this DAPRG hackathon ??, after we also participated in 2 to 3 more hackathons and experience was quite, this was the time i learned soo many things and explored new opportunities.

And now, I was in the final semester of my diploma journey, the last semester. I have come a long way from where I started, and I have a long way to go from where I am. I have many beautiful memories to cherish, and I have many good people to thank. Actually in last semester there was internship for us. And i got placed as intern in Patron Analysis and this was totally new for me, i learned soo many new things from internship, also this was the time i explored many new things. I don't know what the future holds for me, but I know that I am ready for it. I enjoyed this precious time as much as I wanted. I spent time with my friends, my mentors, and my family.

This three-year college journey has been something very special to me. It has been a journey of discovery, adventure, and growth. It has been a journey of joy and love. And I Enjoyed a lot in these three years, And these three years changed my whole life and i am grateful for the people who supported and always helped me in this three year college journey both academically and personally. This journey brought a significant and positive change in my life ??.

At the end special thanks to Nisarg Wath bhauu for always supporting and helping me in both academically and personally, like bohot kuch sikhne mila and humne kaafi maze bhi kie saath mein and your willingness to share your knowledge and your constant encouragement have made a huge difference in my life, thank you soo much for always being there ?? . Your friendship and support have meant more to me than I can put into words.

Also thank you to all my classmates, my friends, and all faculty members who supported and helped me throughout the college journey.
