Fried Chicken Bánh mì
Ingredients:
1 piece chicken thigh/breast
1 cup flour
1/4 cup corn starch
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup lettuce
1/4 cup cucumbers thinly sliced
1/4 cup white onion thinly sliced
1 tbsp cilantro
1/4 cup carrots thinly sliced
1 tbsp sriracha
Bread
Instructions:
- Prepare the chicken the night before by placing in a salt and sugar mix for an hour before adding in the buttermilk and leaving over night
- The next day, when you're ready to cook, dredge it in flour and corn starch and then deep fry
- Toast your bread
- Place lettuce, cucumber, red onion and cilantro on the bun and top with the cooked the chicken.
- Finish it off with sriracha, or any preferred sauce
