Hey Friends,?
Here's what's new?in my world this week. Hope you enjoy!
Appliance?I bought this week :
So I'm hoping I haven't bitten?off more then I can chew (pun intended) with this latest 'idea' I've had. In a couple of weeks I'm going all the way down to St Thomas, Ontario?to pick up a side of beef. The reason being is that the cost of meat is ridiculous at the moment, I can't justify walking into a butcher and spending $30-$40 on a steak.?I've managed to figure out how I can go straight to the source to get a local, small?hobby farm side of hormone free, antibiotic free, no bullshit?grass fed beef. In order to get it really cheap you have to buy half cow. I'm talking 300lb worth of beef. So the appliance I bought this week was a deep chest freezer. Not going to lie it feels weird having a second freezer when you don't have kids but whatever. Now the other part of this harebrained idea is that I definitively do NOT need 300lb of beef to myself so I'm going to offer you an opportunity to take some off my hands.. Please..?You save me keeping 300lbs of beef and I save you the cost of having to buy a whole bloody cow! Well half of one...

New piece of art:
I think I've mentioned local Toronto artist?Flooko?before, we have one of his prints on our wall. This week he offered up a chance to buy a print and the original sketch drawing of the idea. I really like the idea of putting?the print with the sketch drawing next to it in the same frame. Lucy was online at the right time and managed to secure it before anyone else did. Score! Book I finished reading:
Portrait of a Thief by?Grace D. Li??Here's a?pretty accurate description of the book.?Ocean's Eleven meets The Farewell in Portrait of a Thief, a lush, lyrical heist novel inspired by the true story of Chinese art vanishing from Western museums; about diaspora, the colonization of art, and the complexity of the Chinese American identity.?I don't read enough fiction, in fact I don't really read enough full stop but?I randomly borrowed this book from the library because the Libby App suggested it to me. I had never heard of it, I didn't realise it was a best seller or award winner, I just decided to read it. I actually really enjoyed it, it's the kind of book you can easily read 10 pages before going to sleep and then pick it up the next night.??
