Friday

Friday

What if every day felt like a Friday?

Too many of us count down the days, waiting for the weekend to escape the grind of a job that drains our energy and enthusiasm. I see it every day—people stuck in roles they dread, thinking, “Just 15 more years until retirement.” But 15 years is a long time to be miserable.

Imagine waking up each morning excited about what lies ahead, feeling the same joy on a Tuesday that you feel on a Friday. That’s not just a dream; it can be your reality when you find the right job. It’s time to break free from complacency and pursue the career you’ve always dreamed of.

Let’s face it: it’s not just about the paycheck. What good is money if you can’t enjoy spending it? Life is too short to settle for anything less than fulfilling work. Yes, taking that leap can be nerve-wracking, but remember what Michael Jordan said: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

So, if you’re feeling stuck, consider this your sign to take a chance. Explore new opportunities, network with people who inspire you, and invest in your own happiness.

Family Tip

In our fast-paced world, where juggling sports, work, and life feels like an Olympic sport, it’s easy to let family dinners slip through the cracks. But I’ve discovered something transformative: making time for dinner together just 4-5 nights a week has changed everything for us.

Imagine this: a space where we share our daily wins, discuss our challenges, and celebrate each other’s achievements. It’s not just about the food; it’s about connection. Those moments around the table have become our sanctuary—a place where laughter thrives, stories unfold, and relationships deepen.

Here’s a simple strategy that’s worked wonders for us: treat family dinner like an important client meeting. Block out time in your calendar, just as you would for your top clients. Make it non-negotiable. When you prioritize this time, you’re not just feeding your bodies; you’re nourishing your relationships.

Think about it: How often do we invest in our professional lives, yet overlook the most important team we belong to—our family?

So, I challenge you: If you’re not already prioritizing family dinners, start today. Set those dates, gather around the table, and watch the magic happen.

The latest Episode featured Sports Broad Caster Mike Tirico with NBC. It was fascinating to hear how Mike got into annoucing and how it was a passion of his since a younk kid. Mike's story was a true success story, and it reminded me to continuously pursue your dreams.

The mention of family time is key. No one on their deathbed thinks “I should’ve spent less time with my kids or spouse”. Family is such a critical piece of our life. Spend quality and uninterrupted time with them.

Vincent excellent and deeply valuable post. Many of us could use the reminder. I took me too long to build healthy habits to support a full life. I am reminded to lean into the 5 aspects of our design: Work, physical health, family / friends, mental / emotional growth and spiritual connection. Thank you for your post
