Back from a few days working in LA. Lots of ideas, lots of progress. Lots of vitamin D. ??
The Friday Thing 869 is about friendship.
I received some great doses of friendship this week. Meetings friends at USC to brainstorm ideas as well as meeting a friend from my days at Loughborough University while in LA to talk about life, careers and family. We met over 30 years ago and though I see him rarely, it was a great reminder of the power of friendship. You just pick up where you left off. We all know that feeling. It reminded me that I need to do it more often and consider where to invest energy.
Coincidentally, I stumbled across this conversation between Simon Sinek and Trevor Noah on the topic of friendship. It left me with lots to think about...
I love the notion Trevor shares about "the truffle pig of ideas". Brilliant.
And now I am off to meet a friend of mine to congratulate him on the beautiful new book he just published. A perfect end to a very good week.
