Next up is an interview I have been telling people about for the last week few weeks with Delta CEO Ed Bastian. I’ll be honest that flying is the last thing on my mind during COVID-19 but this interview made me think differently about it, and about Delta. Not to the point that I am hopping on a plane next week (or month) but I loved the transparency Bastian offers and their approach, especially to those who refuse to wear masks. A hundred people or more are now on the Delta no fly list because of this. Respect. Check out The Leadership Brief from TIME Magazine.

Parts two and three of this week’s edition are connected. The first is a brilliant profile of Apollo Robbins from The New Yorker back in December 2012. I vaguely remember seeing his work recently but this piece illuminated the work of a man who is widely considered the world’s best pickpocket. The arc of the tale is so good – starting with a challenge from Penn Jillette, of the act Penn and Teller and ending and rising from there. Check out A Pickpocket’s Tale.
