The Friday Thing #673
I'm posting The Friday Thing here today and not via email as I have done for the last thirteen or so years. While I wanted to share one of my learnings on Juneteenth I also wanted to respecting my colleagues and friends who are spending the day learning, reflecting and listening on this important day by not filling their inboxes.
During two marches in Seattle over the last week in support of racial injustice, I have looked around at the children among the crowds and thought about the future they can shape. I can play my part and am committed to do so - but perhaps the biggest part I can play is helping the next generation not make the mistakes this generation - including me - have made.
So this week, I wanted to share a short, simple and powerful story from Emeri B. Montgomery who works for Microsoft in our News team in partnership with illustrator Joanne Wong.
Thank you, Emeri for I Am Watching: A Conversation with a Tiny Human (you can download and print the full story from this link).
As Emeri says Big Humans really shape the views of Tiny Humans.
Happy Juneteenth and happy Friday.
