Friday Stuff - 5 random thoughts

It's almost Friday! I wanted to share 5 random things for you to try this weekend, I usually pick these ideas from talking to friends and listening to people talk about new stuff they tested

  1. An activity to do - SPA treatment

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, finding moments of serenity and relaxation becomes a precious gift we give ourselves. In the quest for tranquility, there is perhaps no better sanctuary than a luxurious spa, where the enchanting embrace of a hammam, the comforting warmth of a sauna, and the gentle flow of various water amenities intertwine to create an unparalleled experience of rejuvenation.

One of the highlights of a spa retreat is undoubtedly the hammam. Originating from ancient bathing traditions, the hammam is a sanctuary of warmth and purification. As you recline on the heated marble, enveloped in billowing clouds of steam, the tension in your muscles begins to dissolve.

Water, in its various forms, is a central theme in the symphony of spa experiences. Dip into a cool plunge pool or surrender yourself to the gentle cascade of a hydrotherapy circuit. The hydrotherapy experience combines the therapeutic effects of water massage, buoyancy, and temperature variations, resulting in a deeply restorative effect on both body and mind.

Beyond the physical benefits, attending a spa with hammam, sauna, and water amenities nurtures your mental well-being. It offers a rare opportunity to disconnect from the demands of daily life, fostering a deeper connection with your inner self. In this sanctuary of stillness, you rediscover the art of being present, savoring each moment as it unfolds.

2. A new book to read - Feel Good Productivity

One of the standout features of "Feel Good Productivity" is its emphasis on the connection between productivity and personal well-being. Abdaal skillfully weaves together the principles of time management, goal setting, and mental health, creating a harmonious approach that leaves you feeling not only accomplished but genuinely fulfilled.

Abdaal's writing style is approachable and engaging, making complex concepts easy to understand and implement. He doesn't just dictate a one-size-fits-all formula; instead, he encourages readers to tailor their productivity strategies to align with their individual lifestyles and aspirations. This personal touch makes the book not only informative but also highly relatable.

The book introduces the concept of "Feel Good Tasks," a game-changer for anyone looking to infuse joy and satisfaction into their daily routine. Abdaal encourages readers to identify tasks that bring a sense of fulfillment, creating a positive feedback loop that fuels motivation. This simple yet transformative idea has had a profound impact on the way I approach my to-do list.

3. An Interesting feature I just tried - Sharing Fitness Activity with friends to generate healthy competition

I tried recently with a few friends sharing our activity recorded on Apple Fitness App through our Apple Watches. It′s actually fun because it generates a sense of contest and shares our activity with our friends and their activities with me. We get notification when any of our friends completed a workout of any kind and vice versa.

We are trying to keep each other motivated and I must say that my busy weeks are having a toll on my scores when we launch contests.

4. A product I really enjoy - Funny Socks

In the sea of traditional office attire, the simple act of wearing fun and colorful socks can be a delightful rebellion, injecting a burst of joy and vibrancy into the often monotonous professional environment. Far from being a mere accessory, these whimsical socks serve as small, personal canvases of self-expression, allowing individuals to showcase their personality and creativity. In a world where conformity sometimes takes precedence, a glimpse of whimsical socks under a desk can be a welcomed surprise, sparking conversations, breaking down barriers, and infusing a touch of lightheartedness into the daily grind. After all, it's the little details that can make the corporate world a more colorful and enjoyable place.

5. An activity everybody enjoys!

Setting up IKEA furniture, but doing it the right way, with a glass of wine, a movie, some food, and with someone fun!

When we do things like assemble a piece of furniture or bake a cake, it boosts our sense of self-efficacy. Not only does this feel good in the moment, it fulfills a deep psychological need. This is partially why we see items that we put together ourselves as so much more valuable than they actually are.
