Your weekly pulse-check of a few thoughtful questions
Welcome to the next edition?of Friday Ruminations where I will explore musings and questions to ponder over the weekend. Each week, I hope to ask three questions – one about FISH (fulfilment, inspiration, success and happiness), one about playing to your strengths, and a random question about Life, The Universe and Everything.?Sometimes I will offer my own reflections about these questions, but often, I will leave it up to you to mull over and consider your own answers.
If you could only rely on one FISH element (fulfilment, inspiration, success and happiness) to thrive, which would it be and why?
For me, fulfilment, or living your purpose, comes before experiencing the other three elements. When I am 'on purpose,' I feel complete, my life has direction, and I am grounded in certainty. When I am fulfilled, I can easily discover inspiration, success and happiness. If fulfilment is absent, I am a bit lost and can't really connect to any other positive emotions.
Which strength/talent do you leverage most at work? Which do you use most in life? Are they the same or different?
My #1, Maximiser and #4 Input are constantly firing when running my coaching/mentoring practice. It is all about continuous improvement and leveraging my archive of knowledge and available resources to lift the performance or experience of my clients. In life, #3 Connectedness and #6 Positivity tend to outshine many of my other strengths, anticipate my family's needs, and stay optimistic even when confronted by unexpected challenges or sadness.

If your pet could communicate with you, what would it say, and what would the dominant emotion be?
I would love to hear your own answers to these questions, thoughts that came up for you, or hear additional questions that these inspired. Get in touch!
