Its been fabulous to make so many new connections since the AAC conference at the end of February. I hope my welcome post on my LinkedIn feed provided an insight, and that you continue to find my posts and Friday round up helpful. Here is a summary of things I have spotted this week:
- As a self-confessed compliance geek, it would be remiss of me not to mention the upcoming deadline (29 March) for nominations for the quality professional awards. I know of some superb individuals and teams that I would like to nominate. If you would like to find out more, the categories and process for nominations can be found here
- This week I posted an article written in conjunction with Sam from the construction EPA company on the true cost of EPA, which has generated some interesting debate and feedback. You can read the article here.
- Don't forget the consultation on the new Advanced British Standard closes on 20 March
- There have been a lot of DfE webinars lately around apprenticeships. If you want to access the back catalogue, you can access it her via this link
- The Ofqual infographic on VTQs has been updated, the delivery report can be found here
- The latest 'Vocational and other qualifications quarterly' is available from Ofqual
- The spreadsheet of EpAOs and Standards has been updated, I will review the changes from the previous version later
- Updates to the statutory digital entitlement
- UVAC is launching HERA (Higher Education Reporting in Apprenticeships)
- ESFA Update
- ESFA webinar on the AEB/ASF changes on 27 March
- If you are interested in becoming a subject matter specialist for Ofqual, they post the opportunities and details here
- WorldSkills UK EDI Heroes Award winners 2024
- guidance for Awarding organisations on how to use the LRS
- Sector subject areas title changes
- In case you missed it in February, here is the latest Ofqual and IfATE Memorandum of understanding
- I can't remember if I shared this before but back in February the Ofqual blog talked about the regulation of end-point assessment, and published a guide for apprentices on EPA
- There was an Education and Training Foundation session on "Improving curriculum design for apprentice success" for managers & delivery staff on 13 March. It may be worth checking the website to see if a recording of the session gets released.
- Did you know the ESFA had a customer help portal? I didn't, so when I spotted it I thought I would share it
