Before you joined Adalta Energy, what were you doing??

Prior to joining Adalta, I had a varied career, but most around Accounting & Finance in some form or another (well that was my Degree!).? I worked as an Accountant for 9 years, moved into Financial Recruitment for another 9 year tenure, then 4 years in commercial lending before joining an (as then) start-up Energy Consultancy to lead Business Development.

?What is it you like about working in the energy industry?

The last 3 years have been a huge learning curve, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.? I’ve had some of the best minds in commercial energy teach me the industry from the ground up.? There’s always a challenge to overcome and it’s a very topical and important industry that is always evolving.

?What makes Adalta Energy stand out in the energy market?

See the previous answer!? There are a lot of Energy Brokers in the market but I truly believe we offer something different.? It’s a consultancy-based approach from a team whose depth of the industry and contractual knowledge is unrivalled.? It’s about being the client's energy partner for the long term.

?Outside of Adalta Energy, what do you do?

I have a very young family so Dad duties consume most of my time these days.? Rewind 3 years and I was a busy gigging musician for a long time, playing Bass Guitar in a variety of bands.? You’d also have found me in Devon messing about on boats.

?If you didn’t have to work (big lottery win), how would you spend your time?

I’d love to open a music studio and get back into producing music and playing live.? You’d also find me sailing around various places (Mediterranean, Caribbean, Northern Europe).? How all that would work with parenting duties I don’t know, but it would be a nice problem to have!
