The Friday Final Thought: "Work hard to buy lucky charms to hedge the good luck you earned with hard work." - Mike Turnbow

"Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more you sweat, the luckier you get." – Ray Kroc

I love celebrating St. Patrick's Day! Wearing green, the food, the drinks, the leprechauns gold at the end of the rainbow - all the things. But, what I love most is how people associate St. Patrick's Day with good luck.

Not just the shamrocks ?? and rainbows ?? (although I do love good luck charms!). The phrase "luck of the Irish," is referring to the grit and resourcefulness of the Irish people in the face of adversity! ?Do you believe in making your own luck? I do! Here are some of my favorite quotes about putting in a little sweat equity to buy some of that luck stuff.

  • "The harder I work, the luckier I get." - Samuel Goldwyn
  • "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." - Seneca
  • "Don't wait for opportunity. Create it." - Unknown
  • "Luck is not chance, it's toil; fortune's expensive smile is earned." - Emily Dickinson

So cheers, my friends, to ending this week with some good luck - that we make ourselves, find at the end of a rainbow, shake out of a shamrock, or all of the above... which brings me to my final thought, "Work hard to buy lucky charms to hedge the good luck you earned with hard work." - Mike Turnbow
