Threads is taking its next step in the fediverse this week by allowing likes and replies from people from other servers. This means that any platform using the ActivityPub protocol will be able to host and integrate Threads content, and vice versa, over time.
The back and forth between Musk and the Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes has been ongoing since April this year, with the judge putting forth stipulations and a deadline to be adhered to or X will be banned in Brazil. That deadline has now passed.

Telegram’s co-founder Pavel Durov has been arrested by French authorities for allowing criminal activity to take place on Telegram which includes; illicit transactions, images of child abuse and drug trafficking. He is also being investigated for allegedly refusing to share information and documents with investigators.
X is testing out video conferencing options on the platform, hoping to compete with the likes of Zoom, Google Meet and Teams. This comes as Musk already confirmed that they are looking to compete with LinkedIn for Job Listings.
Threads has maintained top 10 download status for the last 3 months, in fact its been in the top 10 for most of the year apart from May when it slipped out. It’s come as more and more people step off the X platform, looking for something to fill the Twitter void.
