Friday Corona Virus Community network update. How to access free food in this crisis to stop panic buying. How we will get through together

I do understand that when people are told that they need to stay at home for several weeks, feeding the family during this crisis and lockdown, people behave out of the norm, but there is and will NOT be a food crisis across the Uk, community networks like this are working via social media to link people up with food access and toiletries even if the supermarkets cannot give you a reasonable second delivery date or what they supply is not all that you ordered or the shelves are bare from panic buying

Today I will be making a short film at our food warehouse locally, if anyone needs food, we have neighbours in our network who will do your shopping, walk your dog, get you what you need but we are also aware huge numbers of our community who work zero-hour contracts, work in the gig economy, are self-employed or over the past days have been forced to take unpaid leave who have no cash to panic buy. if you need free food because you have no money please make contact, if your aware homeless people in Lewisham and Greenwich our network has a safe inside home option to give support and safety to local homeless people during this period.

If your Group or you alone and need help in any shape or form, be proud you live in Southeast London an area steeped in a community that cares and comes together in crises, whilst we get the food and toiletries at a discount, we still have to buy, we are also needing to top up key meters for people in crises that have no money

We still need people with cars and vans to help ward by ward local to collect the food from our food supply wholesaler, anyone that needs food, we can get within 24 hours, whilst we are getting the food at a large discount, we are still having to pay to buy it, so if you can please donate. https://www.gofundme.com/f/corona-virus-community-support-network?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

If you NEED anything we are here as neighbours, this is a network NOT a group, we will support anyone and everyone and share what we have with ALL groups as well as advice

Contact details text Ray 07871187162 Email [email protected] NEVER be too proud to ask for help, we have all been there.

Please use gloves and wear glasses and at very least a scarf to cover your nose and mouth when around people. Wash your hands. Drink lots of water.

This Project is organised by We Care food bank. Christine Archibald Homeless outreach project and www.kathduncanequaltyandcivilrightsnetwork.org
