Friction Vs. Flow
We've all been there.?
You seem to be trying everything, but nothing seems to be landing.?
You feel like you're standing still.?
No one seems to want anything and you're working so hard to get things moving.?
If any of that resonates, you are not alone.?
We all have moments where things look bleak.?
But there's one thing that really helps me in those moments and it's a question I like to ask my clients when they're feeling similar frustration.?
Here it is.?
Where's the friction and where's the flow??
In every business, there is some element that feels arduous, hard, and maybe even a little boring and there is some element that feels so second nature to you it just works.?
When I've found myself in those moments where it feels like nothing is moving I stop to ask myself where the friction is and most of the time it's in an area that's just not my thing.
The problem is most of the time we don't reflect on this at all.
We keep pushing when what we really need to do is pull back and look at our situation.
So take a moment now to pull out a notebook and ask these questions:

?Where is the friction?
What do I HATE doing and is there a way I can stop doing it?
Who do I know who loves the stuff I hate to do?
Where is the flow?
What feels effortless?
How do I do more of that?
If you take the time to answer these questions, I promise you'll find some serious clarity about your next steps.
So over to you.
Share with me in the comments where you find friction and where you find flow.
Someone reading this might be a great partner for you.
But only if you share your answer.
