Fresh Views - Lost & Found

Yesterday when I reached home at night found my laptop missing. I checked at the place of my last meeting & laptop was not there as well. What to do? Where to search? Lots of data & hard work.. My head was spinning. I immediately recollected that I had parked the laptop on the bonnet of another car parked temporarily on the road side while myself & my friend where having a chat. I forgot to pick it up from there. I could not recollect which street it was where the car was parked.. The probability of someone being tempted to pick it up was 100% I thought... Called my friend immediately.. He typically doesn't pick up calls late evening.. This time he did..He offered to rush to the place where the car was parked.. I started from my house in an auto (perhaps the only savior when there is furious Bengaluru traffic..), had totally accepted the fact that there was a remote chance of finding the laptop.. QUE SERA SERA..

I was continuously calling my friend. After two calls he gave me the good news that he has retrieved the laptop.. It was found on another car's bonnet placed nearby the car where the laptop was originally placed..Obviously the owner of the car was kind enough to keep the laptop on the bonnet of another car nearby.

My friend did not spot the laptop. A Muslim girl who offered to help my friend in his frantic search did.

So much for a miracle !!

My friend & I were perplexed and it reinforced our faith in "THE INVISIBLE HAND"

The above incident taught me three things..

1>It was the thoughts around the loss of laptop which was stressful..I could very well choose to be calm

2>What if we had a situation where we did not have to acquire anything... so there will be no agony of losing anything !!

&&

3>Our OWN SELVES are something we can NEVER LOSE.. Can we just hold on it ALWAYS? So that we are equanimous in all circumstances...
