The Fresh Take: Running an Ethical Biz, Email Accessibility & More

How We Run an Ethical, People-First Business

Fresh Eyes Digital is proud to be a women-owned and queer-owned agency that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of our work—from hiring and ethical campaigning to vendor selection and employee benefits. Every business decision we make is viewed through a DEI lens, ensuring that our choices—like banking with a small regional institution and sourcing from minority-owned vendors—align with our values and create meaningful impact. New Client Spotlight: League of Women Voters

League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to protecting and expanding voting rights. They work at the local, state, and national levels to ensure every voice is heard through advocacy, education, and litigation. Learn more about their work at lwv.org.

We’re thrilled to kick off our work with LWV this month. FED is helping them migrate their online fundraising, email, and engagement platform to Engaging Networks, supporting data, email, and page set up so they have the tools they need to continue empowering voters and defending democracy.

P.S. Fresh Eyes Digital has availability for new clients! If you need expert support with your digital fundraising and engagement strategy, let’s chat! Email us at [email protected] to start the conversation.

Freshie Faves: Podcast Edition

Whether we're diving into new ideas or unwinding after a long day, podcasts are the perfect co-working companions while working remotely across the country. For our February Freshie Faves: here’s what’s been filling our ears and fueling our minds—maybe you’ll find your next favorite here!

  • Jenn: Comic relief feels like self-care these days, so I tune in from time to time to the Handsome Pod with Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster and Mae Martin and get some much needed laughs.
  • Rachel: British accents and new esoteric nerdy topics that you can learn about each week? Yes please. There are many reasons I love In Our Time from the BBC but it really doesn’t hurt that they end each episode asking the guest experts if they want tea.
  • Ilana: This time of the year, I love Jocks in Jills, a podcast about the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). Twice weekly PWHL news, analysis, and player interviews? Sign me up!
  • Erin: Nat Geo: Greeking Out is the current obsession with the kids during all the driving to activities. Stories of suspense, romance, adventure, war, a little something for all of us!
  • Jordyn: I don’t listen to podcasts super often, but when I do listen to one I really enjoy People I (Mostly) Admire!
  • Thelma: My go-to feel good podcast is called Perfect Person. It’s a comedy advice show from one of my favorite digital creators. Another favorite: The Dollop, where two comedians dive into really wild American History topics. Have I seen live recordings of both? Maybe. ??
