A Fresh Start for Dave Howard

I am very excited about our new addition to the 911 restoration franchise family and I would like to congratulate Niles David Howard Jr. another Fresh Start Story! a little bit about Dave: He went to East Carolina University than majored in computer science and accounting. his real passion in life was to play music. his dad taught him the greatest work value by making him work for the things he wanted from a young age by having a paper routes until he graduated high school. This has taught him as he says to manage money and pay his bills before he got paid. In 1993 he started a carpet cleaning company. he had $800 and a 78 Olds Cutlets he added a portable in the back seat and started advertising. he remembers that he spent $6000 on advertising and made $22,000. at that time and still was able to save $7500. with that money he bought a used van and kept learning, then he met some people who told him how to get really good. So he started taking IICRC classes and hired an employee. By 1998 he had 2 brand new Dodge vans and he was an IICRC Master Cleaner. his gross income went from $22,000 in 1993 to $300,000 in 5 years with 1 employee. So he added in Pressure Washing Then Air Duct Cleaning and added a Box Truck. he also was doing water damage restoration which he has been doing for 20 years but on a small scale, no insurance work, just small jobs 1-2 room jobs. By the year of 1999 he had 3000 customers in his data base and was booked just in repeat business. In 2001 he decided that he was done working all the time and then downsized his business to only him and his helper with a dual wand truck mount, debt free. he paid his first house off in 2004 and have basically enjoyed his freedom since then. The last couple years he has been thinking about how could he restructure his future and find a way to make more money since the cost of living has risen so much. Then in October of 2015 as he told me the story he had a dream and in the dream he was looking in the back of his carpet cleaning van and there was a brand new Drieaz dehumidifier. The next morning, he wondered why that was in his van because at that time he did not own a dehumidifier like that. That afternoon he has received a call from one of 911 Restoration business development team and have showed an interest in the franchise. right after that Alin called and now here he is chasing his dreams with us. Something interesting happened as he was in the process of becoming a franchisee an adjuster friend of his who said he would send him work and help him make connections said to him "what this area needs is a fresh company” he immediately thought A Fresh Start company.

We have no doubt that Dave will be become yet another one of the success story of 911 restoration franchise The Fresh Start Company!
