Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Question 1
- Why would you want to do a double-sided coating??
- Is there a difference between single-sided coating and double-sided coating?
?One-sided PE coating refers to the release paper being coated with PE and subsequently with silicone on one side that comes into contact with the adhesive.
Two side PE coating indicates that after one side PE and silicon coating, we perform PE coating on the opposite side of the release paper to maintain it stable and prevent humidity and maintain the products' evenness and flatness.
Question 2
- What is the relationship between the quantity of backwater and the curl of self-adhesive paper?
?If there is too much backwater, the paper becomes overly humid. Under a dry environment, paper losing its humidity will cause curling downward to the release paper side. If the backwater is too low, it will have a negative effect, forcing the sheet to curl upwards to the face paper side.
Question 3
- Why is it necessary for membrane materials to cover the back?
?Because film products are mostly used in screen printing, which prints one color in sequence, the environment will have higher humidity. The two-sided coating PE keeps the substrate in a stable state, preventing it from curling when printing one color after another.
Question 4
- What is the difference between PVC and PET transparent film?
领英推荐
?On one side, PVC is softer and more flexible; on the other side, PET is quite stiff. Furthermore, PVC is generally in the 50mic to 100mic range, whereas PET is mainly in the 20mic to 50mic degree. PET does not have flexibility, but PVC does. Finally, PVC does not have the same level of corrosion resistance as PET.
Question 5
- What is the maximum width of PVC products as well as the standard size?
?Generally, PVC items for advertising material are 152cm, 137cm, 122cm, 108cm, 100cm with 50M, 100M, or 200M length.
?Question 6
- Could you kindly give an overview of your PVC?
?Our PVC has 40mic, 50mic, 80mic, 100mic, 120mic, 170mic, and so on. We provide a variety of white colors, including milky white, blue, glossy, and matte, as well as transparent, matte transparent, black, and also colored. We also have environmentally friendly materials and standard materials for outdoor and indoor use. In addition, our PVC for outdoor and adhesive are different from those for indoors. We offer five years warranty on all outdoor materials, even in bad weather conditions. Our PVC stickers for solar water heaters have five years of lifetime.
Question 7
- Are sheets and rolls used on different printing methods?
?Actually, sheets and rolls are used in a variety of printing methods. Papers are typically used for sheets in offset printing, whereas films are used in screen printing and UV printing. Rolls are used on flexo printing, while PVC media materials are normally used on Digital printing.
Question 8
- What is the difference between water glue, hot glue, oil glue, and other glues?
?Water-based adhesives have a more stable quality than hot melt adhesives. It is not adversely affected by the environment and hence has good weather resistance. When you touch the adhesive, you can feel that the water-based adhesive does not stick as strongly as a hot melt at first, but after applying it, it becomes stronger. When you fold the adhesive side after peeling off the protective film and try to pull it apart, it readily comes off; it's water-based. If it does not simply peel off, it is a hot melt.
