One of our favorite compact industrial routers just got a new sibling, the Sierra RX55. This evolution of the RV55 adds 802.11ac WiFi as standard, the modem is upgraded from Cat4 to Cat7, and the big news is 'industry standard containers' for edge computing. Celona customers already use the RV55 for compute-heavy applications like automated mobile robots so these upgrades will be very popular I'm sure.
Mark Houtz just published another stellar post in his adventures with Starlink and CBRS series. This time Mark creates a CoW or CoLT using StaLink backhaul and the Celona Mobile AirKit. So cool.
Hamina Wireless have been busy adding functionality to their cloud-based wireless planning tool. As well as supporting WiFi and CBRS they're adding support for additional cellular frequencies, great news for users outside the USA.
