In 2023, we proudly celebrated 10 years of French Tech, a global movement that has transformed the landscape of innovation and entrepreneurship in France. Over the past decade, French Tech has grown from a national initiative into a powerful international network, fostering startups, driving innovation, and facilitating cross-border collaboration in more than 100 cities around the world.

Since its founding in 2013, La French Tech has made a lasting impact on the global tech ecosystem. Here are some of the major milestones from this first decade:

French Tech has expanded to more than 100 international hubs, connecting ecosystems across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and beyond. From Paris to New York, Berlin to Tokyo, and of course Dublin. These hubs have become key bridges, enabling startups to access global markets, talent, and investment.

2. A Boom in Venture Capital and Unicorns ??

The past decade has seen French startups raise record-breaking levels of venture capital, with 2022 alone bringing in over €13.5 billion. This surge in funding has resulted in the creation of over 25 unicorns—including companies like Doctolib , Back Market , and Contentsquare —that have grown from promising startups into global leaders across various sectors such as health tech, circular economy, and e-commerce.?

3. Leading Innovation in Deep Tech
