The French FinTech Week, what a time for the ecosystem!

Last week was the French Fintech Week. From October 9th to 20th, various events took place all over Paris with one goal: promote the Fintech ecosystem with all its key stakeholders. Institutions, corporate partners, incubators, research institutes, schools & universities… and we were there!

The “Fintech for Tomorrow” awards took place on October 9th at the Institut de la Finance Durable and as a partner, we had the delight to award Altitude, who provides an all-in-one solution using AXA’s data on climate, carbon and biodiversity to Private Equity players.

Following these awards, Treezor hosted the “Fintech Generations” hackathon on their premises. An entrepreneurial challenge for students powered by France FinTech, Paris&Co and Societe Generale. This year, many projects were oriented towards positive impact on the environment, and it led to an amazing trio of winners:

?? 1st place: Victoria, renovation financing solution DPE (Diagnostic de Performance énergétique)

?? 2nd place: CertiLuxe, luxury item certification solution

?? 3rd place: LiquiDefi, blockchain-based luxury item financing solution

After winning this hackathon, they will be supported by Treezor, Societe Generale, Paris&Co, FranceFintech and la Caisse des Dép?ts to help their business idea grow!

Every year, this challenge gets bigger, and projects are getting more and more ambitious!

?On October 17th, Societe Generale Ventures held its annual edition of the Societe Generale Ventures Day. Some of our partners in France were invited to round tables to testify and give concrete examples of the collaboration between startups and big corporations. Thanks to SG , Agicap , namR , BlackFin Capital Partners , Société Générale Assurances , Epsor & AKUR8 for sharing their experience. The room was full!

Last but not least, FinTech R:Evolution moved its inspiring experience to the Maison de la Mutualité. Once again, all the players from the FinTech ecosystem were invited to talk, meet and exchange ideas. Decision-makers, regulators, Fintechs, journalists, …. With 3 stages and 5 platforms, we had a chance to take part in this event with 2 speakers, including Jean-Marc Stenger, the CEO of Societe Generale-Forge and Claire Calmejane, our Chief Innovation Officer. Claire discussed many topics during her round table: Digital transformation, customer focus, cryptocurrency, and the hottest current topic: generative IA. A topic you can’t miss, no matter what area you’re in!

This intense week for the Fintech & Innovation ecosystem allowed all french fintechs, insuretechs, regtechs to prove their resilience for the future and we are proud to have partnered with some of them. The best is yet to come!
