Freelancing Changed My Life

I have always been creative. I've loved stories and more than that - I loved writing them and bringing them to life in drawings and illustrations.

I also have a passion for helping others, and for service.

I'd like to tell you my story and how freelancing has changed my life.

Once Upon a Time

I have always loved literature and art, but my family believed I would never be a successful artist or writer.

I worked in food for a while, and then insurance. Those occupations didn't suit my ambition or creative needs.

I tried Dropshipping, I was drawn to blogging, and I considered selling art, but none of these were sustainable to me.

Then I wandered into the marvelous world of freelance and it changed my life.

In the beginning, work was nonexistent. Then, I found my first job. It was a blog about parenting.

It was a small job, but it was the proof I needed.

It is possible.

In January 2022, I found myself crying over my keyboard.

More often than not, I was frustrated and overwhelmed by how hard it was to make freelancing sustainable and realistic.

I was working really hard; the pay was close to nothing.

My frustration and ambition led me to learn new skills and I started using LinkedIn to build my personal brand. (Hey LinkedIn Fam!)

All of the classes I had taken and the skills I had learned started to pay off.

It Finally Happened

I found my first real client. She lives in another country, but that didn't stop us. She needed blogging and marketing assistance. I'm still working with her.

I found another client. This one needed a magazine created to showcase his products to wholesale clients. We're almost finished building a digital magazine and we'll be prospecting soon.

Business is Growing

Now I'm ready to coach new freelancers.

I want to help others find their way. My goal is to support others and coach them to their own version of success, whatever that looks like to them.
