Freelancer #WeeklyWins Sunday 04/06/23

Welcome to the first of (I hope) many #WeeklyWins roundups in newsletter form.

#WeeklyWins started as a quest to show the Freelance community that, despite things being quiet at times, there's still a lot to be proud of and smile about.

From just a handful of people sharing their wins in the first week, it's grown enough that the (allegedly) weekly roundup from me has outgrown the character limit on a LinkedIn post, so now it has to be a newsletter!

The premise is simple - every Friday or Saturday, make your own LinkedIn post featuring one or more of the wins you've had in the week. It could be a new client, a great phone call, a fab day out, an awesome new service - anything that has made you feel positive, no matter what else is going on.

Not only does this make you celebrate the good things, it puts a smile on other people's faces too. (It's also an easy Friday post if you can't think of anything else to write, and gives you the freedom to showcase your services without openly selling anything... just saying... )

Use the hashtag #WeeklyWins in the post, tag me, Nikki Pilkington and I'll include you in our now weekly newsletter (like this one wot you're reading now.)

Ready? Let's go with the #WeeklyWins from the past 7 days:

Helen Barnett wrote a heartfelt post about her first 6 months of freelancing , and celebrated being fully booked until August.

André Spiteri got an awesome recommendation from one of his favourite clients, who sound like they're sticking around for a while .

Jo Green survived the first week of half term , which is an achievement in itself, freelancer or not.

Helen Hill had a fab photoshoot (can't wait to see the pics!), and booked another great event for her launch week.

Laura Burrows was enjoying the half term weather, chatting about being a mum in business, and HER CAR WAS FIXED !

Andy Goldman completed some articles, showed his pants to strangers , and for some reason, was a tiger...

Catherine Jones got some lovely client feedback, confirmed a new project, and has a secret

Sarah Burgess is on holiday, which is a #WeeklyWin anyway in my eyes, and she managed to (mostly) stay away from her screen, and do some running .

Berenice Howard-Smith, MA experimented with AI, and agreed a book cover design (and showed us that sometimes things are not all they seem now AI is in the mix).

Lesley Walsh ?? reconnected with a distant relative, and had some energising calls, plus she seems to have blagged a new coffee machine .

Dee Primett started work with a great new health client, got free food and Tea with Dee is open for applications again!?

Mel Barfield tried her first kipper, recorded a training session and learned what Auchtermuchty is.

Katie Murray did all of the work, and popped out to the Talk HR Club talk and walk

Jo's Tits

Jo Watson (CMgr MCMI) showed us her Tits. I'm saying nothing else about this but if you've read this far down you'll want to click this link .

Jo Green snuck in again with a second win taking part in #30DaysWild and finding some fossils .

And I rounded off a bank holiday week with a lovely #WeeklyWin - a new SEO client I'm delighted to be working with.

Phew! That was an epic roundup, and I hope they only get longer.

Remember, make a post on a Friday or Saturday, use the hashtag #WeeklyWins and tag Nikki Pilkington

If you've read this far, please comment as it helps the roundup reach more people, and go say something nice on some of the wins - it helps YOU to reach new people.

Encourage the people you know to take part, because sometimes reading this on a Sunday or Monday can make the week ahead look a little bit brighter.

Have a fab winning week everyone, see you next time!

I had an absolute panic getting the second one in in time. I'd spent ages scheduling it on Friday for early Saturday, only to realise I'd scheduled it for PM not AM. Not very easy to change on a hurry. Great round up, thank you!
