Freeing Yourself from Anger

Are you tired of being angry, frustrated or upset??Well, you probably know that anger can consumes huge amounts of our energy so it will most surely leave you feeling tired and exhausted. But, when you take a closer look at anger, you can see that it's nothing more than a habit, a way we learned to react when we were very young. It's a habit. Nothing more. A learned behaviour. So, if we want to, we can learn to behave differently. We can learn to catch ourselves getting angry and recognise the symptoms, the change in our posture, the shift in our breathing, in our thoughts and feelings. Then we can make small, subtle changes to our posture and neutralise the anger before it takes hold.

Breathing more slowly, relaxing your shoulders, holding your breath for a second or two and suddenly - the conditioned reflexes lose their hold over you.

Anger only exists because we fuel it with our emotional energy. Cut off the fuel and the anger ceases to exist. Instantly. Let's begin today by letting go of our anger and directing our emotional energy to feel wonderful. Your body will thank you in so many ways.

This is a great way to redirect feelings. However, I personally think that anger is a valid emotion. And, if we validate our feelings, try to find the proper cause of this kind of response, and look for alternatives to respond and handle us effectively, I am sure we can be happier, more productive, and more meaningful.
