Freedom- What does it Mean?
Happy 4th of July! On this day, we celebrate true freedom: the freedom to govern ourselves. In many places, it is still but a dream. I am thankful for the sacrifices our forefathers made 243 years ago today to ensure we have that freedom.
On this Independence Day, rather trying to sell you something like every other company, I thought I would share my thoughts on what freedom means to me. For me, the ultimate freedom is having the time to do the things I want to do in life, whether it be hiking with Laura and my dogs, traveling the world or just relaxing and doing nothing.
Without “free time,” you really can’t experience true freedom. I created this short (2:13) video about this topic. Watch it here! https://youtu.be/w9SNR_YLH3U
In many respects, all of you have enabled my freedom, and for this I am grateful. Without your support over the last 19 years, I would still be practicing law and I hated being a lawyer.
In a small way, SCOTTeVEST gives you freedom to do more with your life. You can have all your essentials with you wherever you go enabling you to enjoy the moment and save time.
By the way, you may have noticed lots of changes at SCOTTeVEST recently. At the beginning of this year, I came out of semi-retirement to run SeV again with the help of an amazing team and, of course, my wife and partner, Laura. We are effectively rebuilding the company from the ground up around you--our customers--and your experiences.
You should begin to notice lots of changes in our communications. It is a privilege to be in your inbox. We are committed to ensuring we are always adding value. In the weeks and months to come, you can expect a completely revamped website, loyalty program, new products and select promotions that we think you will love and want to share.
Please hit reply and let me know your thoughts on how SCOTTeVEST can do better and, if you are so inclined, let me know what freedom means to you.
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful Independence Day.
Sincerely,
Scott Jordan, CEO and Founder
