Since its inception, Innowave Healthcare has focused on simplifying radiology workflows while making them more accurate, affordable, and environmentally sustainable. Recognizing these challenges, we introduced the Freedom Print Server several years ago—a simple solution that enabled diagnostic centres to print on paper and generate PDF films. While it addressed some key issues, we soon realized that the future required a more comprehensive approach. This realization gave rise to the Freedom Spyder, an advanced system designed to transform radiology workflows and connect all stakeholders—patients, physicians, and diagnostic centres—on a single platform.

Why Do We Need Freedom Spyder?

The traditional reliance on imaging films presents several limitations:

• High Costs: Printing multiple physical films adds up quickly for diagnostic centres.
• Inconvenience: Patients are burdened with carrying bulky film bags to consultations.
• Accessibility Issues: Sharing physical films in a digital-first world is inefficient.
• Environmental Impact: Single-use films contribute to plastic waste, harming the environment.

The COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted these challenges. With travel restrictions and a surge in teleconsultations, patients found it nearly impossible to share physical films with their physicians. Although prescriptions and reports could be sent digitally, films lagged behind.

Freedom Spyder was created to address these pain points comprehensively, offering a seamless, scalable, and sustainable solution for all.

Connecting the Dots with Freedom Spyder

Freedom Spyder is more than just a film replacement tool; it’s a system that integrates film printing, digital sharing, and automated communication in one seamless process:

1. Film Printing with a Twist: Traditional DICOM films can still be printed for specific needs, but Freedom Spyder automatically generates an indexed digital copy, reducing waste and cost.
2. Paper Printing for Savings: Diagnostic centres can print images on cost-effective paper or PET films while simultaneously storing an indexed electronic version for easy access and tracking.
3. Digital Film Uploads: Completely eliminate the need for physical prints by generating digital PDF films, which are uploaded to the Freedom Results Portal. Patients and physicians can securely access and share these digital copies. In case a film has to be provided one printed film can be provided with additionl films shared electronicall saving lakhs of rupees per year per centre.
4. Seamless Sharing and Notifications: Patients can share images and reports directly from the portal via email, WhatsApp, SMS, or other digital platforms. Built-in AI algorithms identify critical findings and send automated alerts to referring physicians, ensuring timely medical action.
5. No PACS or RIS? No Problem: Even centres without advanced IT infrastructure can onboard patients and physicians for secure, online access to reports, images, and digital films. Spyder can be used as a stand alone solution, combined with Innowave Freedom Solutions or 3rd party Application with ease.
6. Potential integration with ABDM can add great value to Institutions.

1. Imaging Modality CT, MRI, X RAY, PET, Etc. can perform a normal DICOM print for Spyder to come into Action storing a copy of film in form of a PDF and tracking film utilisation.
2. Freedom Spyder Integration: Traditional film printing with digital indexing. Paper/PET printing with electronic tracking. Direct digital upload to the patient portal.
3. Freedom Results Portal: Patient and physician access to secure digital images, reports, and PDFs. Sharing via email, WhatsApp, or SMS.
