Dear readers,
At the 200th anniversary celebration (once again, congratulations to Mr. Nikolaus W. and H. Schües, their families, and the entire crew!) of Reederei F. Laeisz , the well-known German TV moderator Johannes B. Kerner spoke on March 23, 2024, in Hamburg about free world trade, which has always been connected to the world's oceans, ships, and shipping companies. So today’s subject line fits perfectly.
With numerous guests of honor and fantastic contributions to the stage program, the Schües family was congratulated as exceptional entrepreneurs. All artists were friends or acquaintances, and the motto of the festive evening was "Family & Friends".
Out of old family ties, former German Federal President Joachim Gauck gave one of the keynote speeches. Magnificent, profound, and incredibly funny! What was one of the key words I took away from him? CONFIDENCE. How fitting for the recent Easter holiday, which is also about confidence.
Confidence is closely related to freedom. Freedom and friendship are important. Especially in times of uncertain global conditions, unexpected news reports, or the now ubiquitous legally correct handling of situations. A compassionate, open exchange on a personal level is essential! As an industry focused on hydrogen, we are far from reaching the point where we can lean back and relax.
To stay in the picture: We will need to set sail together in the coming years as well to ensure that the “Hydrogen ship” stays on course globally. So let's stay connected and enjoy the beautiful moments alongside all the work. There are still a few anniversaries to come in 2024 ;-).
Staying on course also means constantly checking if everything is in order. This is no different in projects and we will hear live in the webinar from H-TEC SYSTEMS on April 4, 2024, about the challenges they have faced in recent months. Learn from it! ?
